MANIFESTO
The Chimerical derives, of course, from Chimera, my blessed and cursed name—and also a three headed mythological creature that has since morphed into genotypes and catch-alls for all that is fantastical and monstrous.
The first head a lioness, the second a goat, the third a serpent's tail. The Chimera carries perceptual difference in one body. She was created by Typhon and Echidna, the parents of chaos and and disorder, the Othered. Three entities entangled in the organs and tissues of a body. The sinews of one head stretching and rippling to the other. Perhaps the vagus nerve in her, their, body strung from tongue to tongue to tongue to cervix.
The heads ensure there is no his and her, no her her and hers, no binarical traps. Their unifying fleshly material body. Etched and painted on pots, poked into skin, scribbled onto notebooks, articulated on green screens and on rapid printed eggshell cracking pages.
The Chimera speaks fire, but she also rested. Did you know that? Homer never told us that the maneless lion's head licked the forehead of the goat in reassurance. The goat and lioness together pawed the ground to soften their bed. The snake buried its face in the rug of fur where it made their bed.
I am sure of this.
